Personal Trainer Mississauga ? What Do I Look For In A Personal Trainer?

Hello, my name is Kimberley Nguyen and I am a personal trainer in the Mississauga region. I hope you enjoy this article, and if you?re ready to sign up at anytime, please feel free to fill out a contact form. Thank you!

After reading some of the crucial tips I?ve given you in: Mississauga Personal Trainer ? What To Look For I thought I should give you a more comprehensive check list.

Education and Experience:

Be sure that your personal trainer has a certification that is recognized in the country you live in. It would be a plus if your trainer has an education background relating to fitness and health. There are many trainers out there who hold a kinesiology degree and/or a diploma in fitness who you can hire on.

Has your trainer worked with clients who share the same interests and goals as you do? Choosing a trainer that has experience with a variety of different clients? shows that they?re able to adapt to different clients and they can get along with different types of people. If you?re still unsure about hiring a certain personal trainer, just ask them for 1-2 references.

Personality:

Choose a personal trainer that makes you feel comfortable and can relate to. You should be able to address any concerns with them without feeling uncomfortable. Usually, having a female trainer is suitable for many women because they can both relate to each other. There will be times when your personality and theirs will clash; it?ll be difficult to have an enjoyable and/or successful training session. Your trainer may suggest other personal trainers that may be more suitable for you.

Training Duration:

Most often trainers usually see their clients about once a week. However, I see the majority of my clients about twice a week for an hour. However, some people may not need frequent visits by their trainer due to their very busy work schedule or they travel often. These people can hire a personal trainer once a month so that they get a program started. Every month, you and your trainer can meet up to see your progress and refresh your program. There are many different options you can choose from, just ask your trainer.

Nutrition and Supplements:

The first ?red flag? is when a personal trainer is advising you to take certain supplements. Unless they are certified in nutrition, they shouldn?t be providing you a diet plan and/or advising you to take certain supplements, like protein. Unless you plan on becoming a body builder, you should be able to get all your nutrients in a healthy diet. However, trainers are allowed to help you with your nutrition using Canada?s food guideline. If you do need help with your diet, refer to a registered dietician.
