Teach respect and values ??in contemporary society - news-society

Jaw dropped in horror as the police officer said these words:

"Do not go there. Do you know how many children were stabbed to death last year? They will kill you as soon as look at you. They have no respect for life".

The mother let out a sigh of relief. She came to school to seek my assistance as I was Director of the direction of his daughter. We had the girls, visiting the places were putting his own life to convinceDanger.

Luckily, a policeman was at school that day to discuss a class of social education ? and I had to sit in the interview.

So where was the young man threatened his life like that? What were his seductive underground bunkers?

Nothing less than an area of ??the city where two school friends lived. But as you can imagine, it was an area full of drugs and related crimes. Many people had lost respect from themselves and for life inGeneral.

So how do we teach respect and values ??in a society that is rapidly worthless to one?

Believe it or not, it's relatively easy!

All that we need to do is go back to basics. Remember what grandma said? ? "Treat others the way you do them yourselves."

This may sound a bit trivial "or" tasteless "in today's world, but if ever a saying that she deserves to be repeated again and again, that's it!

Today, our children must learn, RESPECTthemselves, for others, for the rights of others, the customs and beliefs of validity, for the property, for the materials and the earth itself.

The more people, the more we become a counterweight disrespectful and indifferent to the trends we see everywhere.

Yes, it's all well and good, but how we do it?

In two ways ? and as I said, it's easy!

MODEL especially the values ??and the respect that you develop your children.

That's it. Show them theLifestyle. You do not even need to articulate these values ??- but as we shall see later, discuss and comment on them can have an impact even greater.

Many parents are neither trained nor articulate success, and they say very little. They let their actions speak louder than words.

There is nothing new. To use an old phrase, give the parents a good example. (Some of today's psychologists think they've found a new approach when it comes to"Models appropriate behavior patterns." .. Yes!)

To be honest, I speak for many parents are unaware that it has the potential to influence their children to have. It is a surprise to many to discover that they have ever been the most influential teachers of their children.

Our children are like sponges. Enjoy our behavior, our habits, our way of speaking ? the way we see the world.

So, if you respect for yourself, for others, for the property and the land it is notwrong.

But you can improve or enhance this process, educating your children.

No lessons "preach" or are we able to offer, guidelines for daily activities. For example:

* Leave the bathroom as you want to find

* Use resources like water carefully

* Consider other quietly through the music with headphones or

* Giving a hand in the classroom to the playground, at home

* Treat others with kindness, gentleness, care and compassion

*care in the same way.

Modeled as bad or unwanted behavior on TV or elsewhere, commenting and discussing them would never do that.

In a multicultural and multiethnic society, we help our children to tolerate, appreciate and even celebrate the differences. Help them to realize that we all have different customs and traditions, and there are pros and cons in these differences.

Help your child to be assertive. No need to be aggressive or offensivein defense of our values. We should say with pride and courage, and we should avoid a passive denial when others are there.

Finally there is the self-control. If you set a good example ? sorry, if you 'model appropriate behavior "! ? And you teach your children why it is important to you and your family are to meet the future with confidence.

Parents happy!
