College students breach security near LNG terminal

EVERETT, Mass. ?

Local college students shooting a rap video unknowingly breached security near the LNG terminal in Everett Sunday afternoon, state police said.

Troopers called for FBI backup when a group of people were spotted near a gate near the gas storage tanks at the facility on Rover Street. One person in the group was apparently dressed up as a security guard.

After speaking with the group, it was discovered that they were students from Emerson College and Northeastern University who picked the spot to film their rap video. The group told authorities they were "completely unaware of the security implications" in selecting their location.

Police said the group was not deemed to be a public threat and were allowed to leave the property.
