Stage stints from John Malkovich and John Hurt, a Robert Wilson-helmed "Threepenny Opera" and a legit incarnation of an Ingmar Bergman film are among the theater offerings lined up as part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music's 29th annual Next Wave Festival.Malkovich reprises his role in "The Infernal Comedy: Confessions of a Serial Killer," which preemed in 2009 in Vienna. Play -- with a cast made up of Malkovich, two singers and a chamber orchestra -- imagines Austrian serial killer Jack Unterweger promoting a new book from beyond the grave.Hurt, meanwhile, reprises a part he played for Dublin's Gate Theater in 1999 and 2006, cast in the solo play about a 69-year-old man confronting his younger self via a tape recording from his 39th birthday.Stage version of Bergman film "Cries and Whispers" comes from Ivo van Hove, the Dutch director whose work is regularly seen in Gotham ("Hedda Gabler," "The Little Foxes"). Toneelgroep Amsterdam's production centers on a dying woman visited by her two sisters.Along with experimental helmer Wilson's staging of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill's "Threepenny," which features the Brecht-founded Berliner Ensemble, Next Wave's legit lineup includes "The Speaker's Progress" from Kuwaiti director Sulayman Al-Bassam and interdisciplinary Antarctic expedition chronicle "69?S" from Gotham troupe Phantom Limb.Music outings lined up include Kronos Quartet's multi-composer "Awakening: A Meditation on 9/11" and Daniel Bernard Roumain's "Symphony for the Dance Floor." Dance component of the fest includes works from Beijing Dance Theater, the Forsythe Company and Merce Cunningham Dance Company, among others.Fest runs Sept. 21-Dec. 18 at BAM.
